In today's society we can fin many barriers and differences within people. But, certainly a few of them know what biologically these differences mean. Do they make us better than others? No. We are all a different variation of the same specie (human). Even though some are different and present special traits, we are all from the same race but with different phenotype. These gene expression are sometimes the result of the interaction of the environment which, vary depending on the location and diet.
This paper made me reflect and understand how complex the human body is (mentally and physically). Also, I can see how different we are and why some are much more similar to others. In addition, I can ponder about the role of sex and gender in my daily life. Same sex marriage has been a controversial topic, and many people considered it as "the biggest of sins", now that I can really difference sex and gender I can easily understand same sex couples and why they behave as they do. And most important, help them and support their condition even though I might not agree with it. |
